Hiiiiiiii! I understand you probably have a gazillion questions to ask about all kinds of things or maybe you don't. Regardless, WELCOME to J. Songy Photography! I am a warm and colorful lifestyle photographer destined to capture all of your candid moments during our session.
No, I won't photoshop you to have a different body.
If you read my home page, you know what I will do. So let me jump right on into some things I won't do. Insecurities. We've all got them and wish they were gone/different. My biggest insecurity is that my nose is so big it has been called a whole bird beak. LOL. At the end of the day, this is you, with the mole on your face that you have always wanted removed or with a few extra pounds you have been wanting to lose. I have had many people ask to change physical things about themselves and I mean this in the most polite way possible: you are the way you are for a reason. You can either embrace it or change it. Have confidence in yourself. The man upstairs created YOU. I am not a plastic surgeon and won't photoshop you as a different person. However, that giant pimple on your nose, I will correct it because there is already one Rudolph to pull Santa's sleigh. HAHAH sorry I couldn't help myself.

How I got here...
One dreary day in May, it was most definitely a Monday. LOL I'm just kidding, except the May part. Anyways...I'll keep it short.
May 2020, I got laid off from my full time job and had no friends or hobbies here in Texas. I had just moved from Louisiana and was having some growing pains. During my new job search, my fiancé gave me the idea to start up my own photography business as photography was something I enjoyed and could potentially gain another form of income.
So, I started going to the park near our apartment and handed out "business cards" and asked random people if I could take pictures of them. As you can imagine, this didn't get me anywhere fast but the attempt was definitely there. Skip a few months to October when someone had finally given me the opportunity to take their pictures! I was floored. Someone was going to pay little ole ME to take their pictures! Hence, October 3rd, 2022 J. Songy Photography was born!

Since then, I have gained a ton of knowledge not just in photography, but also business and life. Above all of that, I have gained even more friends. I have fought myself for countless days and nights over the colorful and candid style that I am now so happy with. I have conquered major goals and have made even more mistakes. I am thankful for everyone that has given me the opportunity to capture their precious moments. I continue to learn new things everyday to better the experience of you, my people
